Erin's Chemo Jams
Firstly, I need to say that today's portrait is not actually of a spinster. My friend and coworker, Erin, actually got married about three weeks ago, but I'm making a special exception for her.
Erin sits behind me at work, and she is a cancer survivor. Aside from having survived from cancer, however, she's a huge fan of all the boy bands. Since we're the same age, that means masterful musicians like Hanson, N*Sync, and the Backstreet Boys. Erin actually once met Hanson, and she cried because she was so excited. She's pretty sure their album, "Underneath," helped cure her cancer.
So that brings us today to our playlist. Erin was traveling back and forth to her Chemotherapy in the years 2004 and 2005, and while she was in the car with her mom, they would always listen to the radio and sing along. So, today, I've made a list of songs (mostly released in 2004) that would have been on the radio for her on the way to and from Chemo. So, Erin, here's your playlist. I hope I get to hear you singing along all day at work today.
