It's Pronounced "Jer-Vay"

I don't know if it's like this in every city, but everywhere I've lived, there's at least one street everyone is continually mispronouncing. And you know that can drive a spinster crazy. In New York, that's Houston, pronounced "house-ton" instead of like Houston, TX. In the town where I went to college, Columbia, SC, one of those streets is Gervais street. Gervais is pronounced "jer-vay," but I've heard all kinds of pronunciations. There's "jervis," and "ger-vase," to name a few. Today, I think I've found a pretty easy solve for this problem: The Gervais Street Tee Shirt.
